Cynthia Rae Lewis was born on July 14, 1967, to Hazel Lewis and Alvester Lewis. Cynthia Lewis transition on January 3rd. 2021 at the Vidant Medical Center.
Cynthia was a graduate of the Wilson County Public Schools. She was a woman who loved family she was a jokester in the family. She especially loved her nieces and nephews to whom she was like a second mom. She was a woman of great faith and was a firm believer in God’s words. She was a member of Greenleaf Christian Church of Goldsboro, NC where she was faithful until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by two grandmothers; Odelle Dawson, Madie Bee Lewis; two grandfathers Samuel Dawson, William Henry Lewis; five aunts; two uncles
She leaves to cherish her memories of her loving parents Hazel Lewis & Alvester Lewis(Herlene) of Fremont, NC; one sister Deborah Lewis-Edwards of Jacksonville, NC; two sisters Shonda Reid of Fremont, NC, Sheena Winfield(Philip) of VA; one step brother James Reid of Greenville, NC; six aunts Madie Hite(Walter) of Goldsboro, NC, Ollie Reid(Bayron) of Goldsboro, NC, Dorothy Artis(Howard) of Fremont, NC, Elma Crawford(Morris) of Austin, TX, Lisa Cunningham(Norman) of Fredricksburg, Maryland, Dorothy Willingham of VA; four uncles Henry Lewis(Luretha) of Goldsboro, NC, Cleveland Lewis(Jacquline) of Raleigh, NC, Bobby Dawson of Philadelphia, PA; one niece Eliccia Edwards of Wilmington, NC; threfe nephews Brandon Edwards(Cheryl) of Jacksonville, NC, Phillip Edwards(Christy) of Jacksonville, NC, Micheal Edwards(Ashley) of Las Vegas, NV; 5 great-nephews; three great-nieces and host of cousin and other relatives
